Kate Middleton is back for good at Wimbledon!
The Queen of Wales, 42, appeared at this year’s Wimbledon tennis tournament on Sunday as she continues to receive treatment for cancer.
Queen Catherine delighted fans when she arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club with her 9-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte.
She appeared happy as she stunned in a beautiful purple dress.
Charlotte wore a blue dress with polka dots.
Queen Catherine will present the trophy to the winner of the match between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz. He is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
His exit comes one month after he joined the royal family for King Charles’ birthday celebrations on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at the Trooping the Color ceremony.
Although his short return has affected his health, it seems that the beloved king is not letting his illness stop him from loving tennis.
The Grand Slam mother-of-three has been on the air since revealing her cancer diagnosis to the world in March.
Last month, it was reported that the royal considered appearing in the annual tennis tournament assuming her recovery is on track.
In addition to being a defender, Middleton – an avid tennis fan himself – has made an effort to attend the tournament every year and is often seen watching matches from the royal box on Center Court.
Last month, the Chairman of the All England Club – which runs the annual grass court tournament – addressed speculation about Middleton’s attendance.
“Our priority is that our Ambassador has time to recover and we certainly will not add any pressure to his recovery by speculating on his presence at this year’s Championships, ” Deborah Jevans said in a press conference.
Speaking about the rumors about who will present the awards to the finalists on July 13 and 14, Jevans said that no decisions have been made.
“And when it comes to the presentation ceremony, like in previous years, we will announce those who will be part of the ceremony on the morning of the finals, so nothing has changed in that regard,” he shared.
Kensington Palace declined to comment.
Princess Catherine usually attends the men’s and women’s finals and presents the winners and runners with their medals.
Last year, the beloved king teamed up with tennis coach Roger Federer to work on the girls’ soccer pre-tournament.
The young lady interacted with the Wimbledon ball boys and girls, and even enjoyed a match with the Swiss star – the eight-time champion of the tournament.
As Middleton shows her support for the annual tournament, her husband Prince William is expected to travel to Berlin, Germany to cheer on the English soccer team when they face Spain in the final. 2024 UEFA European Championship matches on Sunday.
The Prince of Wales, 42, is president of the Football Association, England’s governing body, and is a keen fan of the game.
The future king is set to join the new UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer.
